| On returning
to Malta after the success achieved at Arezzo in Italy, late in August
2000, the choir was bestowed with the title "Malta's Children's Choir of
the European Union". The choir was made member of the Federation
of Choirs of the European Union by Professor Francis Bardot, who is the
Principal Conductor and Head of the Council of Surveillance of the Union's
Childrens Choirs. The Cantores Sancti Juliani is, therefore, the
only Maltese Children's Choir authorised by the European Parliament and
Commission to represent Malta in the activities that are organised by the
Federation.
Mr. Lino Attard,
the choir’s Music Director, has been appointed to sit on the Board of Music
Directors of the European Choral Federation. |
