Cantores Sancti Juliani at the St. Julians Parish Church
 
1982 The choir was founded in by Miss Elvia Agius.  At the time the choir numbered around 40 children – boys and girls varying between the ages of 7 to 13 years.
1982/2000 Held regular performances during church functions at Christmas, Easter and other important occasions. Participated in Concerts on its own as well as with adult choirs at St. John’s Co-Cathedral and sang at different venues on the invitations of other communities on the occasion of the festas of the towns and villages around the island.
1986 The choir was particularly singled out for its participation in the premiere performance of the oratorio Ommna tas-Sokkors by Maltese composer and conductor, at the time, of the National Orchestra Mro. Joseph Sammut.
1996 Baritone Lino Attard was asked to offer his services to help with the choir’s development, and has since worked together with Ms. Agius to instill love for music in the young choristers.
1998 The choir participated in the V International Choir Festival “Orlando di Lasso” held in Rome and the Vatican City where it was awarded a special medal for the best youngest participation.

In April it was invited and participated in the International Children’s Choir Festival organised by the Mdina Cathedral Museum of Malta.  This festival was brought to an end by a joint performance of all participating choirs culminating in all choirs singing together under the direction of the choir’s own director. 

During the same month the Choir participated in the Environment Day Concert on the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Environment at the Manoel Theatre. 

In October the choir was again invited to give a concert at the Mdina Cathedral at the invitation of the National Tourist Organisation of Malta on the occasion of the Mdina re-enactment festival. 

In the same month the choir hosted the Bromley Boy Singers who, on the occasion of their 21st anniversary gave various concerts in Malta and Gozo, two of which were joint concerts between the two choirs.  The directors of the choirs conducted together in two simultaneous concerts.

In December the choir gave a series of concerts for the festive season at the St. Julian’s Parish Church and on local TV stations.  The choir also gave its share towards the Community Chest Fund by rendering two performances during the Christmas season and which were also televised.

1999 The choir participated in the 50th anniversary concert of the Music Cultural Institute and was highly commended by music critics. 

In October the Choir was also invited to perform by the Ministry of Social Policy, , during the conferment ceremony of the Premju Anzjan tas-Sena held at St. Vincent de Paule theatre under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Guido De Marco, President of the Republic of Malta.

In December the choir performed in a number of concerts at the invitation of the Millennium Celebrations Committee and participated in the Massed Choral Concert, singing on its own and jointly with The St. Paul’s Choral Society as well as joining all the other choirs for the rendition of Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus and Handle’s Halleluia.  The choir’s director conducted the Mozart ode. 

December was in fact a very busy month for the choir as it also participated in various live concerts for three local TV Stations and gave its usual share during the Community Chest Fund Campaign.

2000 At the beginning of the new millennium, the choir was honoured by the International Choral Federation for participating in the Federation’s Singing for Peace & Justice Project along with over 180 choirs from all over the world.  The choir received a Diploma for its participation helping it to further enhance its reputation among the international choral community.

In January the Choir was given a big ovation at the Manoel Theatre where it participated in a concert organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the Migrants Convention.

In June the choir participated in the choral festival of Sacred Music at the invitation of the Liturgical Secretariat and held at St. John’s Co-Cathedral where it excelled in its presentation.

In August the choir took part in the XLVIII International Choral Festival "Gudio D'Arezzo" where it participated in the Children's Choir's Category competition and won the 3rd prize. The choir also performed a number of works by Maltese Composers in the Festival of Sacred works during the Rassegna Guido d'Arezzo at the beautiful monastic church Sta. Maria della Pieve.

Late in August, the choir was bestowed with the title "Malta's Children's Choir of the European Union".  The choir was made member of the Federation of Choirs of the European Union by Professor Francis Bardot, who is the Principal Conductor and Head of the Council of Surveillance of the Union's Childrens Choirs.  The Cantores Sancti Juliani is, therefore, the only Maltese Children's Choir authorised by the European Parliament and Commission to represent Malta in the activities that are organised by the Federation.
